International Office (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office)

I. Functions Introduction

International Office (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office) is primarily responsible for formulating and promoting the implementation of the campus internationalization development strategy, developing and managing international and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan cooperation projects, coordinating international student affairs and serving as the designated office for international student recruitment and foreign-related work, formulating and reviewing various types of official overseas (abroad) plans, handling application and approval procedures for personnel credentials and managing them, handling matters related to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions, managing the introduction of foreign intelligence and other related tasks.

II. Organizational Structure

Comprehensive Management Office

Main responsibilities include coordinating daily internal and external affairs of the International Office, handling application and approval procedures for various types of official overseas (abroad) personnel credentials and managing them, managing supplies and providing logistical support, and coordinating and promoting the construction of a soft international environment on campus.

International Education Cooperation Office

Main responsibilities include providing relevant consultation and services for the application of various Sino-foreign cooperative education programs and institutions on campus, assisting colleges in the localized management of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs and institutions, external liaison, and policy consultation services, and assisting colleges in managing various types of international program classes, etc.

Overseas Experience Office

Main responsibilities include external liaison, on-campus promotion and registration consultation for student overseas study experience programs as well as the evaluation, disbursement, and supervision of funding for overseas experience programs, etc.

International Cooperation Office

Main responsibilities include coordinating the implementation of foreign-related and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan exchange affairs on campus, expanding various international cooperation projects with universities, research institutes, government groups, and international organizations from both international and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions, and providing relevant services and support, approving and managing international conferences on campus, etc.

Foreign Expert Affairs Office

Main responsibilities include handling the application, management, and services for the introduction of foreign (overseas) intelligence and foreign expert programs, processing credentials for international scholars and foreign teachers coming to China, and managing honorary degrees/titles for foreign personnel.

International Student Affairs Management Office

Main responsibilities include coordinating international student affairs and foreign-related liaison on campus, collecting international student recruitment plans, planning and implementing recruitment expansion, coordinating enrollment work and conducting preliminary review of application materials and distribution of admission notices, and processing credentials for international students coming to China, etc.
